Questions

Asked and answered

What can I feed it?

Live recordings, audio files (MP3, M4A, AAC), pasted text, camera scans of handwritten notes, and documents. Whatever form your course material takes, it becomes the same study system.

Is my audio really private?

On iPhone 12 and newer, transcription runs entirely on the device — the audio is processed on your phone. Study-guide and quiz generation then work from the transcript text over an encrypted connection. Cloud audio backup is optional.

How does the oral exam work?

A question appears on screen. You speak your answer, the app transcribes it, and the AI grades the substance against your actual lecture material — with specific feedback on what you missed. It is the closest thing to a professor who never gets tired of asking.

Is there a web version?

Yes. The web console lets you review lectures, transcripts, and study tools from any computer. In the app, go to Profile → Study on Web to create your login credentials, then sign in from the Log in button on this site.

How accurate is the transcription?

Very good on clear lecture audio, in both the on-device and cloud pipelines — and a proofreading pass catches phonetic slips (the app knows your professor said “Krebs cycle,” not “crabs cycle”). Transcripts stay fully editable.

What exactly is Memory Boost Level 5?

The age-gated top setting of the mnemonic engine — clever, absurd, suggestive-at-most memory hooks in the long med-school tradition, with hard rules against anything explicit or graphic. Unlocking it requires Face ID plus a one-time selfie that AI checks for 18+; the photo is analyzed and discarded, never stored, and ambiguous results are automatically declined.

What is Scholar Stack Dynamic?

The spoken half of Scholar Stack: real-time conversational AI tutoring sessions and probative AI oral examinations — you talk, it talks back, on the web. It is an AI, not a human tutor — including math tutoring in advanced concepts. From any course in Fusion, tap Talk this through and Dynamic opens already knowing your gaps and your next exam. Billed separately, by minutes of live session time.

Which devices are supported?

Scholar Stack is built for iPhone, with on-device transcription on iPhone 12 or newer and cloud transcription on older models. The web console works in any modern browser. Android is under consideration.
